ITINERARY
Day 1. Arrive in Beijing, transfer to the Red Wall Hotel ****.
Time to have a rest. Light lunch in Chinese restaurant. Excursion to the
Tian'anmen Square, visit Forbidden City (Gugun Palace). Back to the hotel. Free
time. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2. After breakfast excursion to the Ming Tombs (1368 - 644). Lunch.
Visit the Great Wall. Back to the hotel. Free time. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3. After breakfast you'll go to the Temple of
Heaven. Peking Duck
lunch. Visit Yonghegong Lamasery, the largest functional lamasery in Beijing.
Back to the hotel. Free time. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4. After breakfast check-out. Excursion to Yiheyuan Park (Summer
Palace).
Light lunch in Chinese restaurant. Free time before departure transfer to the
train station. Departure to Xi'an by train.
Day 5. Arrive in Xi'an city, that is 3000 years old. Arrival transfer to the
hotel. Accommodation at the Lee Garden Hotel****. Breakfast. Excursion to
the Xi'an City Wall. Visit Stele Forest
Museum. Lunch. Visit Great Wild Goose Pagoda. Historical Museum of the province. Dinner. Back to the hotel.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6. After breakfast excursion to
the Terra - Cotta Warriors and Horses. Lunch. Excursion to the
Banpo Village Ruins. Bell and Drum
Towers. Walking along an ancient antiquarian street.
Dinner. Back to the hotel.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7. After breakfast check-out. Departure transfer to the train station. Departure
to Luoyang City, second ancient capital of China, home of peony. Lunch on
the train. Arrive in Luoyang. Arrival transfer to the hotel. Accommodation at
the Luoyang Grand Hotel****. Excursion to the White Horse Temple which is over 2,000 years
old, honored as the 'Founder's Home' and the 'Cradle of Buddhism'. It's one of the first
Buddhist temples appeared in China. Dinner. Back to the hotel.
Overnight.
Day 8. After breakfast visit Longmen Grottoes which have been survived for about 1,400 years, the over 2,100 grottoes have tens of thousands of statues of Buddha and more than forty Buddhist pagodas as well as a large number of stone stables. These grottoes, together with the Yungang Grottoes in Datong and the Mogao Caves in Dunhuang, are the three major cave clusters in China. Gate of a Dragon.
Lunch. Visit Shaolin Monastery. Forest of Pagodas. Show of U-Shu masters is to be paid optional (8 EUR). Dinner. Transfer to
Zhengzhou. Departure transfer to the train station to leave for Beijing.
Day 9. Arrive in Beijing. Breakfast. Transfer to the airport.
Included: accommodation acc the programme (twin std at 4-star hotels),
meals acc the programme, guide and transportation for the excursions and
transfers as per itinerary, entrance fees to the museums and sights of interest;
visa support, train tickets inside the China.
