Sretensky convent is located in Baturino village 78 km away from Ulan-Ude. Picturesque place, surrounded with high woody tuffets. A beautiful stone church was erected in the center of the village at the beginning of XIX century. It was founded by exiled Decembrists, a grave of one of them, I.F. Shimkov, is close to the church.
