There is a complete collection of works of artists of Buryatia. The majority of works belong to the founder of Buryat professional art, Ts. S. Sampilov. Paintings, pieces of graphic arts and sculptures of local artists; Buddhist tankas (icons) and folk handicraft items made from wood, horse hair, bone and silver of national craftsmen are exhibited in the museum.
