This multi-level museum is the largest such memorial to veterans of World War II in Moscow. Downstairs, in the Hall of Memory, you'll see thousands of tiny lights suspended in the darkened hall as "tears" of memory for the fallen. There are six dioramas on the same level, among them those featuring the battles of
Stalingrad, Moscow, Leningrad and Berlin. You can read the names of the 11700 men and women who received the title of Hero of the Soviet Union and 13 cities that were similarly honored for the war effort upstairs in the Hall of Honor. The museum has one of the largest displays of documents, photos, uniforms, weapons and mementos anywhere.
